Four BGCMB Youth Afforded The Opportunity to Attend Cal Ripken Sr. Baseball Camp

The Cal Ripken Sr. Baseball Camp was an awesome experience for the four young men afforded the opportunity to attend: Xarien Lyday, Brett Poles, Antonio Dorsey, Nyckolas Allen. The youth had an opportunity to meet children from different states that attended various Boys and Girls Clubs. They got to see firsthand how large the Boys and Girls Club Movementis and immediately realized that they were a part of something big.The youth stayed at a camp ground from August 18-22. During that time they had an opportunity to rock climb, zip line, swim, as well as attend baseball clinics and participate in baseball games. The camp provided each young man with a uniform, baseball gloves and a backpack. They were encouraged to challenge themselves by doing things they considered uncommon. At the end of the camp each team chose a camper of the week, Xarien Lyday and Nyckolas Allen were chosen by their teams. This award was given to the camper that inspired the team and challenged himself. They were encouraged to keep up their positive behavior and bring that positiveattitude back to the club. They will never forget the experience afforded by the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation.
