Webster Kendrick Gamesroom Opening!
Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore unveiled a brand new Gamesroom on September 22, thanks to a $16,500 Triple Play grant from the Amerigroup Foundation. The grant provided much-needed updates in equipment and supplies for the Club’s Gamesroom, which is the central hub for kids and teens to learn about teamwork, getting along with others and leadership. The new room includes areas where kids can play educational games, enjoy fun physical activities and create and form friendships.
Triple Play is Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s signature health and wellness program to teach kids about living a healthy lifestyle. It focuses on the mind, body and soul. Triple Play has made connections with more than 10 million kids over the last decade. The Triple Play program motivates kids to be healthy by providing nutrition and health education, helping provide access to healthy foods and encouraging avoidance of risky behaviors and a lifelong commitment to fitness. With the addition of the Club’s newest activity room, kids will have the opportunity to celebrate active, healthy living and continue building strong relationships with their peers and Club mentors
