At Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Baltimore (BGCMB), corporate partnerships are about more than sponsorships—they’re about showing up for young people in meaningful ways. The recent Christmas Carnival with Morgan Stanley was a powerful example of how community partnerships can create moments of joy while advancing long-term impact.
Held at our Club at O’Donnell Heights, the carnival transformed a regular afternoon into a festive, hands-on celebration. Club members rotated through games like ring toss, giant Connect 4, and Jenga, and took part in holiday crafts including wreath making, DIY ornaments, and Christmas bingo. The energy was joyful, inclusive, and welcoming—exactly the kind of environment where kids feel safe to be themselves.
What made the event especially impactful was the presence of seven Morgan Stanley volunteers who spent their time engaging directly with our youth. This kind of engagement directly supports BGCMB’s mission: to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. With more than 252,000 children across Maryland lacking access to out-of-school time programs, partnerships like this help us close the gap—one child, one Club, one community at a time.
The event also reflected BGCMB’s core values in action. By meeting young people where they are, volunteers embraced a people-centered approach that prioritized connection and encouragement. By engaging with kids from diverse backgrounds, the event celebrated perspective and lived experience. And by showing up during a busy season, the Morgan Stanley team demonstrated the persistence and passion that drive meaningful community impact.
Corporate partnerships play a critical role in expanding access to high-quality out-of-school time experiences. When companies invest their time, talent, and presence—not just resources—they help create environments where young people can build confidence, explore creativity, and develop the skills they’ll carry into adulthood.
BGCMB is grateful to Morgan Stanley for their continued partnership and for helping make the holidays brighter for our Club members. Together, we’re building stronger communities and helping great futures start every day.
