Right on the heels of Thanksgiving comes Giving Tuesday — a day dedicated entirely to generosity. It’s a moment when people everywhere show up for the causes they care about, giving their time, resources, and dollars to nonprofits so we can help our neighbors and communities not just get by, but truly thrive.

As America’s young people face unprecedented challenges, supporting the youth right here in Maryland is more important than ever. Rising costs are causing more families to struggle to afford enough food, with 1 in 5 children living in homes where they don’t always know where their next meal is coming from.

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Baltimore, we see these realities every day across our ten Clubs. But we also see something else: hope, perseverance, and incredible possibility. With your support, Club kids continue to rise — and this fall has been full of powerful moments that prove what’s possible when a caring community invests in them.

This Fall’s Impact — Thanks to You

• Our teens met with Senator Cory McCray, engaging directly with a local leader who encouraged them to dream boldly and lead confidently. Their voices mattered in that room — and they left knowing it.

• EY volunteers delivered hands-on financial literacy workshops at the O’Donnell Heights Club, equipping youth with real-world skills that set the foundation for independence, confidence, and long-term stability.

• Our partnership with Panda Cares continues to nourish more youth, bringing meals, care, and joy into our Clubs — ensuring no child has to wonder where their next meal is coming from.

• Mayor Randy Taylor visited our Club, inspiring boys in Passport to Manhood to be strong, thoughtful leaders in their families and neighborhoods. Mentorship changes lives — and this visit showed our youth that their futures matter.
