During the holiday season Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Baltimore experienced the true spirit of giving through our Adopt-A-Club program. Corporate and community partners from across Maryland came together not only to fulfill wish lists, but to support the social and emotional wellness of our kids through meaningful acts of service.

Wes’s journey with Boys & Girls Clubs began early and has come full circle. Promoted to Area Director this fall, Wes now serves as Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Baltimore’s voice on the Eastern Shore—bringing opportunity, consistency, and care to the communities he serves, including the future home of impact at Mace’s Lane in Cambridge. 

Mayor Randy Taylor of Salisbury spent the morning with members in our Passport to Manhood program, sitting down to talk about careers, dreams, and what it really means to lead a city. From the start, he made it clear he wasn’t there to give a speech, he was there to connect. 

Jean Mocombe (known as Mr. Jay to the kids!) is a steady, encouraging presence at our Club at Truitt Community Center in Salisbury, and a driving force behind the positive change taking root in the neighborhood. At the heart of East Salisbury, where opportunity and challenge often meet, Jean is helping shape a safer, more hopeful future—one child at a time.

Youth members from the Boys & Girls Club at Truitt Community Center recently had the chance to explore Salisbury Regional Airport (SBY) during a hands-on field trip.

A $20,000 grant from the Richard A. Henson Foundation will directly support programs and operations for the Boys & Girls Club in Salisbury.
