Great Futures Classic Raises $150K for Local Youth

On Monday, May 5, 90 golfers came together for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore’s 4th Annual Great Futures Classic at the Country Club of Maryland. The event raised over $150,000 in support of Programs that help our youth reach their full potential. We are especially grateful to CFG Bank for their generous partnership, GFC Chair Neal Wilkinson, and to all our sponsors whose support made the event possible.

Guests heard powerful remarks from BGCMB President & CEO Jeff Breslin and Super Bowl champion Torrey Smith, who spoke about the upcoming opening of the Baltimore Ravens Boys & Girls Club at Hilton Recreation Center, a new $30 million flagship Club set to open in West Baltimore later this year. Smith, a longtime supporter of BGCMB and a driving force behind the new Club, reflected on the importance of providing safe spaces for youth.

"You don’t know what conversation, what program, or what moment is going to change a child’s life, but it happens every day in safe spaces like this” shared Smith. "The power of just being present—it changes how kids see their future.”

Your support at the Great Futures Classic fuels our mission and helps ensure more youth have access to the opportunities they deserve. Thank you for investing in great futures. We couldn’t do it without you.
