Across Baltimore City, Howard County, and the Eastern Shore, your generosity turned long summer days into safe, joyful, and enriching experiences for hundreds of kids. That’s why we’re launching Pencils to Possibilities, a year-round campaign inviting our community to support youth through the gift of school and art supplies. These essential items fuel learning, creativity, and confidence at every stage: from the excitement of summer camp to the start of a new school year and the day-to-day moments in between.

At Boys & Girls Clubs, we often say Great Futures Start Here. But what does that really mean? If you're not already connected to a Club, you might not realize just how much happens within our walls — or how deeply this work shapes lives. Recently, BGCMB President & CEO Jeff Breslin shared the following reflection. We’re proud to repost it here, because it captures exactly why our work matters, and why America Needs Club Kids:

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore, summer isn’t just a season—it’s a launching pad for confidence, connection, and discovery. Thanks to our generous donors, over 600 kids across Baltimore, Howard County, and the Eastern Shore will step through the doors of a Club and into a summer filled with joy, learning, and belonging—at no cost to their families.

On Monday, May 5, 90 golfers came together for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore’s 4th Annual Great Futures Classic at the Country Club of Maryland. The event raised over $150,000 in support of Programs that help our youth reach their full potential.
