Innive Steps Up for STEM
Updated: Mar 23, 2021
Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore (BGCMB) today announced Innive, Inc. as the newest partner to the organization’s work to ensure all young people have access to meaningful and transformational Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) programs.
Innive’s initial contribution includes $10,000 to support the purchase of a 65-inch technology enabled touch screen that will allow youth members to engage with their peers across the world.
Additionally, Innive’s investment will support the implementation of STEM programs delivered by trained STEM mentors at each of BGCMB’s four Club locations in Baltimore. Programs offered include: robotics, math mentoring, drone racing, coding, and career exploration.
Each year BGCMB delivers more than 70,000 hours of STEM programming in partnership with experts in the field, STEM educators and leading IT companies such as Innive.
“We are deeply grateful for Innive’s commitment not only to our STEM programs but to the idea that our kids deserve the best in technology so that they too see their future in any career they can imagine – especially those in technology,” said Jeffrey Breslin, BGCMB President & CEO. “While Innive’s initial commitment will expand access to STEM programs to more kids, it is their long-term belief in our work that is truly exciting. From day one Ram Subramanian, Oliver Landow, and the entire Innive team have delivered for our kids.”
“Boys & Girls Clubs deliver proven programs and leverage their national platform unlike any other youth development organization,” said Ram Subramanian, COO of Innive. “Our support of outcome-driven STEM programs and first-rate technology is not only the right thing to do but it ensures all young people have access to a career in today’s global information age.”
Through partnerships with leading national organizations and local educational institutions BGCMB provides STEM programming as part of daily after-school and summer activities. In addition to STEM, BGCMB offers outcome-driven programs that provide youth members with foundational skills that drive outcomes in academic success, life skills and character development, and college/career readiness.
