Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders: A Look at Peter's Journey as an Urban Alliance Intern

Peter, a senior at Green Street Academy, is completing a nine-month paid internship with BGCMB through the Urban Alliance High School Internship Program. Peter will work alongside our Manager of Program Quality & Club Experience to prepare for and bring to life our summer camp.

We asked Peter three questions as he settled into his new role here at BGCMB.

What are your plans for after graduation? What career(s) are you interested in?

College is on the table, but it is not the only plan. I love gaming and computer engineering. Cyber security is pretty cool these days. If I had to choose a career that would be my interest.

What’s something you hope to learn or a skill you hope to gain through this internship?

I’d like to gain more consistency. Having a job is important. You must be consistent with being on time and being ready to work. This is something I am trying to master.

What will the future Baltimore Ravens Boys & Girls Club at Hilton Recreation Center mean for Green Street students?

It will mean that there are more people there for us. BGCMB will be joining our community to help everyone out.  And it’s a good investment for Green Street football. Looking forward to our first home game there!
