This summer, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore brought young people together across nine Club locations for days filled with learning, friendship, creativity and discovery. Nearly 600 young people participated in our summer programs, with an average daily attendance of 411—an increase over the previous summer. At the Baltimore Ravens Boys & Girls Club, 79 young people participated each day during the Club’s first full summer of programming.

On any given summer morning, youth and teens arrived at Boys & Girls Clubs across Baltimore City, Howard, Dorchester and Wicomico County ready to move. They moved between art projects and athletic challenges, from books and STEM activities to Ravens training day and field trips.

Creativity, collaboration, and community came together at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore’s Leonard’s Lane Club as members participated in a special Art with a Heart experience, creating glass murals that will become part of the new Mace’s Lane Clubhouse. Summer Fest demonstrated what becomes possible when young people have access to safe spaces, caring adults and a community deeply invested in their futures. While the Ravens Club was the backdrop for the day, it really served as the hub of opportunity capable of welcoming hundreds of young people and giving them access to experiences designed to support their physical, social and emotional well-being.

Every day this summer, our Club youth have been building confidence, discovering new interests, strengthening friendships, and developing skills that will stay with them long after summer ends. Whether they're building STEM projects, creating artwork, having fun outside, or going on field trips; each day brings new opportunities to learn and grow.

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Baltimore, we know that great summers start with great staff. Instead of worrying about where they’d eat, how they’d stay safe, or what they’d do all day, families had peace of mind knowing their children were at the Club. Thanks to you, kids had the chance to learn, grow, and just be kids.
