Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore (BGCMB) celebrates our close association with three of Maryland’s 2020 Most Admired CEOs, including our very own President and CEO Jeff Breslin. The list also includes incoming Board of Directors member Floyd Taliaferro, IV, as well as Club partner and friend, Susan Malone, CEO of Wide Angle Youth Media.
Sponsored by The Daily Record, the Most Admired CEO list recognizes talented business CEOs and nonprofit executive directors throughout Maryland for their leadership and vision. Winners are selected based on professional accomplishments, community service, and letters of reference submitted by co-workers, board members and community leaders.
Jeff was nominated by the Board of Directors, including America Lesh who explained, “Jeff has impressed the Board with his ambitious vision to transform and grow the organization to serve more young people here in Baltimore. He also demonstrated incredible leadership throughout the COVID-19 crisis to sustain programming and provide critical support to our kids and their families.”
In response to this honor Jeff remarked, “I am beyond humbled to be part of this group of leaders particularly in a year in which we all faced incredible challenges. It feels particularly gratifying to stand beside Sue Malone of Wide Angle Youth Media – one of the most impactful and innovative nonprofit organizations in Baltimore City. I am excited for more program collaborations between our organizations.” Wide Angle has been a valued partner in BGCMB’s arts programming, engaging our members in digital media projects about their lives and communities as part of their mission to cultivate and amplify the voices of Baltimore youth to engage audiences across generational, cultural, and social divides.
