In celebration of International Women's History Month, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Baltimore hosted a powerful and inspiring panel discussion—designed, led, and moderated by our teen members.
The event created space for young people to explore identity, leadership, and the possibilities ahead of them. Through thoughtful questions and authentic dialogue, teens engaged directly with accomplished women leaders, gaining insights that will help shape how they see themselves and their futures.
The panel featured an incredible group of leaders from across Baltimore, including Phylicia Porter, Dr. Denisha Logan, and Jamila Webb. Each panelist shared their personal journey—offering candid reflections on career paths, navigating workplace dynamics, the importance of community involvement, and the role of mentorship and representation in their success.

What made the event especially impactful was the leadership of our teens. By taking ownership of the conversation, they not only guided meaningful discussion but also demonstrated confidence, curiosity, and a deep commitment to learning from those who have paved the way.
Brielle, 14, who served as the panel’s moderator, reflected on the experience: seeing women in leadership roles was both inspiring and motivating. She shared that the conversation helped her realize she wants to follow a similar path as she grows up—an example of how powerful representation can be in shaping a young person’s vision for their future.
Moments like these are at the heart of what we do. By connecting youth with strong role models and creating spaces for honest dialogue, we help young people build confidence, explore career possibilities, and develop the skills they need to navigate complex social issues.

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Baltimore, we are proud to elevate youth voice and leadership—because when young people are given the opportunity to lead, they rise.
