2025 was a transformative year for Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore. Across our 10 Clubs and the communities we serve, we expanded access, deepened impact, and strengthened the systems that support young people long after they walk through our doors. Below are the 10 moments that moved our mission forward and set the stage for our future.
The Top 10 Organizational Highlights of 2025
In October, BGCMB celebrated the opening of the Baltimore Ravens Boys & Girls Club at Hilton Recreation Center. This 30,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility in West Baltimore provides academic support, wellness programming, arts, athletics, and leadership development in one central hub.

Nationally recognized partners helped create unforgettable moments for Club members. Steph Curry showed up for our kids to help break in the Ravens Club basketball court, creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience for youth. Michael Phelps engaged Club members around swim safety, wellness, and perseverance, while Brent Faiyaz hosted a holiday celebration centered on creativity, music, and mentorship. Together, these experiences reinforced that young people in our community are seen, valued, and supported.

Summer 2025 marked a major milestone, with Clubs serving 550+ youth, a 67% increase over the previous year. Across Baltimore City, Howard County, and the Eastern Shore, summer programs offered safe spaces, enrichment, and consistency during critical out-of-school months.

Club teens traveled to Washington, D.C. to participate in the Summit for America’s Youth, meeting with lawmakers and strengthening their advocacy and leadership skills. This experience amplified youth voice and demonstrated the impact of investing in leadership development beyond the Club walls.

2025 was a year of intentional investment in people. Over 10 internal staff promotions strengthened leadership pipelines, reinforced continuity across Clubs, and reflected BGCMB’s commitment to growing talent from within while supporting long-term organizational stability.

Corporate partners at all levels of support played a critical role in advancing BGCMB’s mission. Collaborations with the Baltimore Ravens, Under Armour, Planet Fitness, CareFirst, Whiting-Turner RSM, M&T Bank, EY, Access Holdings and many others fueled academic enrichment, wellness initiatives, leadership development and youth experiences across all Clubs.
7. Financial Growth & Capital Investment
Through two New Markets Tax Credits, BGCMB successfully netted $4 million, strengthening the organization’s financial foundation and supporting Club development and program expansion. These investments ensure sustainability and scalability for years to come in both Baltimore at the Ravens Boys & Girls Club, and Cambridge at the new Club at Mace’s Lane Community Center coming in 2026.

The opening of the Panda Cares Center of Hope at the Brooklyn O’Malley Club created a dedicated space for academic support, STEM learning, mentorship, and enrichment. These enhancements elevated day-to-day youth experiences and reinforced academic success as a core priority.

Our teen programs continue to thrive, offering young people meaningful opportunities to grow, lead, and explore their passions. In the 2024–2025 school year, we celebrated four graduating teens embarking on the next chapter of their lives, while teen membership continues to grow, reflecting the strength and appeal of our programs. Highlights included participation in the Keystone Conference, where teens connected with peers, built leadership skills, and gained inspiration for advocacy and community impact. From mentorship and creative projects to leadership experiences, our teens are stepping confidently into their potential and shaping the future of their communities.

BGCMB welcomed new board leadership and members, strengthening governance capacity during a period of growth. Strategic board engagement helped position the organization for long-term success and deeper community impact.
Looking Ahead
Each of these milestones reflects a shared belief: when young people have access to safe spaces, caring mentors, and meaningful opportunities, they thrive. As we look to the future, BGCMB enters the next chapter stronger, more connected, and ready to serve even more youth across Maryland.
